Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), climatic and mechanical testing.
testing OPTOKON can be divided into two laboratories. One of them can conduct electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests. The second one is for climatic and mechanical testing.
The EMC laboratory is equipped with a very good semi-acoustic Lindgren chamber, which provides excellent conditions for accurate measurements. Currently, the laboratory can perform electromagnetic interference (EMI) tests in the frequency range from 9.5 kHz to 18 GHz in accordance with MIL-STD 461 for military electronic devices and EN 55032 for consumer electronics. Very precise Schwarzbeck antennas and a Rohde & Schwarz ESR 26 measuring receiver (up to 26.5 GHz) are used for EMI measurements.
The mechanical and climatic test laboratory is equipped to perform mechanical and climatic tests mainly for optical cables and similar components. Some measuring equipment can be used for other electronic devices tested in accordance with MIL and ČOS standards.
The laboratory is accredited for mechanical and climatic testing and is also certified in accordance with ISO 17025. The accreditation is valid for tests in accordance with EN 60794-1-21 and EN 60794-1-22.
