The OPTOKON AFOP reinforced (armored) fiber optic patch cord provides ease of use and installation, just like a conventional electrical cable. This patch cord differs from traditional products due to the use of a micro-diameter flexible armored tube protected by stainless steel, which prevents easy damage or breakage of the optical fiber, and also features a fire-resistant PVC coating that does not support combustion. This unique design ensures a simpler installation process, thereby reducing return loss and extending the service life of the optical fiber.
- Reliable protection of optical fibers thanks to the use of stainless steel material.
- High tensile strength, pressure resistance, repeated twisting resistance, rodent protection.
- Easy to use, similar to an electrical cable, and simple installation.
For the production of reinforced (armored) simplex (single fiber) or duplex (two fibers) patch cords, two types of cable are used, the structure of which is shown in the diagram.

It is possible to manufacture multi-fiber patch cords and armor only the part with the connector (see drawing).
