OPTOKON fiber optic media converters provide reliable Ethernet conversion between copper cabling and fiber optic networks. They extend standard Ethernet transmission distances, enable data transmission over optical fiber and provide connectivity for network equipment located in remote buildings, industrial facilities, video surveillance systems and telecommunications infrastructure.
The product range includes Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet media converters, models with fixed optical interfaces or flexible SFP ports, as well as managed and industrial media converters. Depending on the model, the converters support single-mode and multimode fiber, different optical connector types and transmission distances ranging from local fiber links to tens of kilometers.
Fiber media converters are suitable for enterprise and telecom networks, IP surveillance systems, Ethernet switches, controllers, industrial automation and other network applications. Models equipped with SFP slots provide additional flexibility, allowing the optical transceiver to be selected according to fiber type, wavelength and required transmission distance.
