The CS® connector was introduced as a replacement for current duplex LC connectors, which are too large for newer generation transceiver interfaces and to increase connector density in patch panels. The CS® connector features a push-pull mechanism with two cylindrical, spring-loaded 1.25 mm ferrules within a single housing. The ferrules are spaced 3.8 mm apart, the minimum possible spacing to meet today’s TOSA and ROSA optics requirements. The CS® connector can be used with 2 mm or 3 mm jacketed cable and is designed specifically for next-generation 200/400G transceivers such as QSFP-DD and OSFP.

Advantages of CS Patchcords:
- 40% size reduction compared to LC Duplex
- Designed for use with QSFP-DD, OSFP, and COBO
- Higher performance than LC
- Push/Pull mechanism for easy use in high-density applications
- Double the density in patch panels compared to LC
- IEC Lock, Class B accidental disconnection prevention
