Dear Colleagues,
As the end of 2024 approaches, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on what we have accomplished together and share our plans and ambitions for 2025. This year has been a period of intense work, change, and significant achievements for our company. Thanks to your dedication and collaboration, we have reached many milestones that contributed to the continued growth and strengthening of OPTOKON’s position in the global market.
Key Achievements of 2024:
- Preparation for serial production of ruggedized products: In our Jihlava headquarters, we began preparations to expand production of these devices, meeting the increasing demands of customers, especially in the defense industry.
- Expansion of production capacities in Turkey: We are finalizing the study for the installation of advanced CNC machining technology at OPTOKON Elektronik in the Kocaeli free zone. Implementation is scheduled to commence in the second half of December 2024, with project completion expected in the first half of 2025.
- Establishment of OPTOKON Egypt representative office: The registration of our Cairo-based subsidiary is nearing completion, paving the way for developing our activities in North Africa.
- Successful submission of an innovation project: Ensuring further production expansion in the coming years.
- Launch of two international development projects: These will enhance our research activities and support the creation of new jobs not only in the Czech Republic but across the entire OPTOKON Group.
Your commitment, professionalism, and teamwork have been instrumental to these achievements.
Outlook for 2025: We are looking forward to new challenges and opportunities in 2025. Our key priorities include:
- Gradual expansion of serial production of ruggedized products: We aim to further develop production at our Jihlava headquarters, strengthening our position in the defense sector.
- Development of an OPTOKON accredited laboratory in Turkey: This project will increase our significance in the Turkish market and enable us to offer additional services to our regional customers.
- Return to the U.S. market: We are finalizing studies to analyze the most suitable location for a joint venture in the United States. Our plan includes opening a service center, a joint venture, and an accredited calibration laboratory, allowing us to regain a strong presence in the North American market.
- Activities in Malaysia through OPTOKON Pacific SDN. BHD.: We are currently building our own facility within the SIRIM complex, which will include a service center, a test bench, and facilities to produce ruggedized and commercial cameras. This initiative underlines our commitment to strengthening our presence and capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region.
These initiatives will bring us closer to realizing our vision: becoming a leading global player in optical technologies, ruggedized devices, and innovative solutions.
